Humpback Whale Gives a Show of Thanks to Rescuers

by Holy Cuteness on July 18, 2011

Here’s an amazing video of some people freeing a young humpback whale that got entangled in hundreds of feet of fishing net in the Sea of Cortez.
The whale named Valentina by her rescuers goes from near death to freedom, then rewards her saviors with dozens of full-body breeches and tail flips.

Michael Fishbach, the man in the red swim trunks, co-founded the Great Whale Conservancy to help make oceans safe for marine mammals worldwide.

I can’t think of an adjective that describes all I felt while watching this, so may I just say….

Wow.
